The source material for this piece is a short audio fragment generated by a digital synthesis technique, which was then edited and modified in an audio editor (DAW). The main transformations applied were time-stretching and pitch-shifting, as well as various types of filtering and spatialization. Taken to their extreme, these transformations produce a series of artifacts that enrich the texture and create complex sonorities. The two major sections of the piece are the result of different transformations of the source material.
